Health and Safety Policy

For Lafarge Plasterboard, Health and Safety is more than a core business value; safety is paramount. Nothing is more important to us than ensuring the safety and well being of our employees, customers and stakeholders.

Lafarge Plasterboard is committed to fostering a positive safety improvement culture over its entire business and providing a safe and healthy, incident free work environment for all its employees, in turn, we expect everyone to contribute to that safe environment through responsible behaviour. Lafarge Plasterboard does this by involving everyone in safety; having moved away from a "policing" culture to one where everyone takes care of one another. This is summed up with the company's safety logo "I care for our safety".

Lafarge Plasterboard recognises the importance of discharging the full range of statutory obligations and duties; meeting these requirements is a given, delivering health and safety best practice our goal.
Lafarge Plasterboard believes that the prevention of accidents is both a moral obligation and good business. We at Lafarge Plasterboard firmly believe that zero incidents and occupational diseases is achievable and have established the necessary internal organisation, communication and training to be able to achieve this goal.

Health and safety is fully integrated into the way we manage our business; with objectives included in our management systems at all levels of the Group. Management is accountable for the prevention of injuries and occupational illnesses.

When developing new products, consideration of health and safety is a key stage in the development process. No product being launched without a few review of its the health and safety aspects.
It is important that Lafarge Plasterboard products are used only in the manner for which they are intended and in accordance with Lafarge Plasterboard's instructions. Safe working practices and conditions will ensure that occupational exposure is minimised.
