Below is a list of the literature relevant to GTEC Aqua Board:

Synia - The new plasterboard innovation from Lafarge

Synia is a unique plasterboard design from Lafarge, which provides the ultimate flat ceiling in drylining.

Traditionally, drylining plasterboards are manufactured with two tapered edges in order to create a seamless finish when jointed. For ceilings this has presented installers with the problem of extra planning, labour costs and time.

Synia has been created with a unique edge design which, once fixed, reveals a four tapered edge for jointing. This offers the installer a faster, easier solution, resulting in the ultimate flat ceiling.

Lafarge GTEC T-Bar Ceiling System

3he Large GTEC T-Bar Ceiling System is unique to Lafarge. It has been designed to provide the contractor with a faster, labour saving, out performing one-stop-shop ceiling solution. The system comprises both new framing and new board products.

GTEC T-Bar can be used in conjunction with GTEC Fire board, Pregybel acoustic plasterboard or the new Synia board. Synia has a unique edge design which, once fixed, produces a 4 tapered edge, for the ultimate flat ceiling solution.

The grid frame system is suitable for the installation of plasterboard in ceiling and corridor new build and refurbishment. In the commercial sector, it is suitable for leisure, health, education and office markets. In the residential sector it can be used in new build apartments.

GTEC T-Bar is a strong, metal system with a simple clip fixing mechanism and specially designed channel and T-Bars. It has a wide 43mm flange which makes it quicker and easier to fix plasterboard.

There are two versions of the new system - the flat ceiling system, which incorporates Main T’s, cross T’s and Edge channel’s. The T-Bars can be either fixed on to a ceiling by a metal angle hanger, strap hanger or wire and the corridor system, which incorporates a span T and Edge channel and does not need any central hangers for maximum spans between 1.6m and 2.05m, depending on span centres and number of board layers. The corridor system allows framing to be easily installed and the boards position adjusted by butting them together.

GTEC Socket Pads

Launched in January 2008, GTEC Socket Pads make up part of the Lafarge fire suppresion package, and protect the fire and acoustic integrity of partitions where sockets are used. They come in two sizes, single and double, to correlate with the different sizes of sockets and are commonly known in the industry as 'putty pads'.

The pads are pre-cut to size in the shape of a cruciform to ensure minimal waste and to shortern the time needed to install the pad lining inside a socket. Robust Detail status has also recently been achieved.

GTEC Pregybel

PREGYBEL's superior appearance provides an additional benefit for large open ceilings and walls, where the look is just as important as acoustic performance. Its sound absorption performance helps to create a truly acoustic ambience.

The major benefit of this solution is the ease of installation, due to the protective glass mat, which is glued to the back of the board, preventing dust emission. The protective mat enables a complete one-step installation, which saves time and results in increased on site productivity and overall cost effectiveness.

GTEC Intumescent Acoustic Sealant Foil Refills

Forming part of our fire suppresion package, GTEC Intumescent Acoustic Sealant Foil Refills and the associated Acoustic Sealant Foil Mastic Gun were launched in February and are available and in stock now.

Each refill contains the same sealant as we currently sell in cartridge form, but in a 600ml size. The new products also offer several additional benefits:

§ The foil pack provides a significant reduction in size after use, ensuring less waste on site.

§ Each gun is supplied with ten free nozzles.

§ Customers are also entitled to one free gun per 15 boxes of foil refills that they order, providing the order for 15 boxes is made at one time.
